I am Liesl, the current director at Ancora Kids Browns Plains. I have been working in the centre for 5 years. My qualifications include: Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
As director at Ancora Kids, I am passionate about creating holistic, nurturing environments where children feel empowered to explore, grow, and thrive. At the heart of our philosophy are the values of Empathy, Compassion, and GRIT: Growth, Resilience, Integrity, and Tenacity. I believe that when children are supported with love, respect, and opportunity, they demonstrate remarkable resilience, curiosity, and potential.
My teaching approach is inspired by a blend of Montessori and Steiner philosophies. I value providing hands-on, real-life learning experiences that build independence and practical skills, while also fostering creativity through play-based and imaginative exploration. I also embrace the importance of early exposure to STEAM learning and second language development as vital tools for the future.
I see families as a child’s first and most important teachers. Building strong, respectful partnerships with parents helps create a safe and connected learning environment, where every child feels a strong sense of belonging. My goal is to nurture children’s emotional, social, and cognitive development, supporting them in becoming confident, compassionate individuals ready for the next stage of their journey.
At Ancora Kids, I am proud to lead a team that values reflective practice, continuous learning, and a shared commitment to preparing children today, for a better tomorrow.
I am Kash, the current Room Leader in the Galaxy/Garden combined room. I have been working in the centre for 5 years. My qualifications include: Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
My Philosophy: I believe it is my responsibility as an early childhood educator to provide children with meaningful, positive learning experiences in a nurturing environment. I strive to model kindness, respect, patience, and care in all my interactions, with children, families, and fellow educators.
Guided by Erik Erikson’s theory of psychosocial development, I recognise that each stage of a child’s growth brings unique emotional and social needs. My role is to support children through these stages by creating a safe space where they feel loved, valued, and free to explore and express themselves.
I am committed to respecting each child’s individuality and fostering strong, trusting relationships. My goal is to help children reach their full potential through care, connection, and rich educational experiences that inspire confidence and curiosity.

I am Amy, the current Room Leader in the Ocean room. I have been working in the centre for 5 years. My qualifications include: Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
My Philosophy: I am passionate about creating a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued, and free to be themselves. I believe that when children are supported with love, respect, and meaningful opportunities, they grow into confident, curious, and resilient individuals.
I value hands-on, real-life learning experiences that help children develop independence and important life skills. At the same time, I believe creativity and imagination are just as important, and I aim to offer playful, engaging experiences that spark joy and curiosity.
Strong, respectful relationships with families are important to me. I believe that open communication and trust help create a consistent and supportive environment for every child.
For me, teaching is not just about education, it’s about helping each child grow emotionally, socially, and intellectually at their own pace. I’m committed to learning and reflecting on my practice so I can continue to grow alongside the children in my care.
I am Shelly, the current Room Leader in the Oasis Room. I have been working in the centre for 9 years. My qualifications include: Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
My Philosophy: I believe the early years of a child’s life are rich with learning opportunities, where development occurs constantly across all domains: physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and communication. My goal is to create a program that nurtures the whole child by providing a safe, positive, and enjoyable environment. I aim to support children in building confidence in themselves and fostering a lifelong excitement for learning.
I am passionate about cultural diversity and celebrate the unique backgrounds of each child. I strive to help children understand, respect, and embrace differences, promoting a sense of inclusion and belonging in the learning environment.
Teaching young children is my passion. I believe that love, care, security, and trust are essential components of a successful learning relationship. I work to ensure that every child in my care feels valued, safe, and supported as they explore, grow, and thrive.

I am Candi, the current Early Childhood Teacher in the Kingdom room. I have been working with the centre for 4 years. My qualifications include: Certificate III in Early Childhood Education
Bachelor of Early Childhood Education
My Philosophy: I believe children are naturally curious and thrive in environments that are supportive, stimulating, and rich in opportunities for exploration and decision-making. As an educator, my role is to act as a co-constructor in their learning journey, providing meaningful, hands-on experiences that foster each child’s social, emotional, and intellectual development.
My philosophy draws on the work of Maria Montessori, Rudolf Steiner, and Clark & Moss’s Mosaic approach. These frameworks guide my practice by emphasising the importance of child-led learning, respect for individuality, and the value of understanding each child’s background, culture, and voice. I am committed to creating an inclusive environment where children feel safe, empowered, and inspired to grow with confidence and independence.
