Parkinson Childcare & Daycare

A welcoming early learning environment for Parkinson families, created for children aged 15 months to 5 years to explore, develop and thrive in a supportive, engaging setting.

A Day With a Shape Your Child Can Rely On

Young children settle when they know what comes next. Our days follow a steady rhythm: arrival and free play, then group time, outdoor play, lunch, rest, and an afternoon that winds down before pick-up. Within that structure there is plenty of room to follow what interests a child on the day, but the frame stays the same, and children relax into it quickly.

Parkinson families are welcome from 15 months through to the kindy year, in rooms grouped by age so the routine suits the stage your child is at.

Close Enough to Suit the School Run and the Commute

The centre is about ten minutes from Parkinson, at 5 Trebeck Street in Browns Plains. We open at 6am and close at 6pm, which gives working parents room at both ends of the day, and there is parking on site so mornings stay simple. Learning rooms sit alongside shaded outdoor areas, and children move between them freely rather than being kept indoors.

What our families say…

Outstanding Care and Support! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"My child was initially quite shy and sensitive to new environments, but the educators at Ancora Kids Browns Plains have been incredible. Their care, patience, and skill in supporting each child truly stand out. Since starting, my son has grown so much in confidence—he now comes home singing songs and excitedly talking about what he learned during group time. I'm so proud of his progress and couldn't be happier with the nurturing and enriching environment Ancora provides. Highly recommend!"
Exceeded All Expectations! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"My grandson is enrolled in the 2024 kindy program, and I couldn’t be more pleased. The staff at Ancora Kids Browns Plains are absolutely amazing—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely committed to the well-being of each child. In just a few months, my grandson has developed wonderful social skills and learned so much. The centre is always clean and well-maintained, and the educational program is broad, engaging, and clearly supports early learning. I highly recommend this centre—they’ve truly exceeded all my expectations!"
Thank You for Everything! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"We’ve absolutely loved our time at Ancora. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, our family is relocating and our son will no longer be attending. Over the past several months, the support, care, and dedication from the Ancora team has been nothing short of amazing. You've helped our son grow in so many ways—socially, emotionally, and developmentally—and we are beyond grateful for the nurturing environment you've provided. We're genuinely heartbroken to be leaving such a wonderful centre, but we’ll always carry the warm memories with us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You truly rock, Ancora!"
A Wonderful Place for Our Daughter ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"I just want to express my heartfelt appreciation to all the staff at Ancora Kids Browns Plains. Since joining the Oasis class, my daughter has absolutely loved her time at the centre—she even wants to go on the weekends! It’s been so rewarding to see her come home happy, excited, and full of new things she’s learned each day. The positive impact Ancora Kids has had on her development is clear, and we’re so grateful for the love and care she receives from her educators."
Truly Grateful for the Amazing Educators ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"Our appreciation for the team at Ancora Kids Browns Plains goes a long way. You've always been so helpful, supportive, and professional. While every teacher at the centre is fantastic, I just want to say how honoured we are to have such dedicated and caring educators supporting our child. The kindness and effort you put into your work have made such a positive impact, and we’re truly grateful."

Social Focus

The social part of our program is based on our philosophy of fostering empathy, compassion and grit in kids. Our centre is a secure, caring environment where children build confidence and discover a joy for learning.

Health & wellbeing

We use play, song and stories to develop essential skills and teach children about health, hygiene and self-care. This includes choosing and making healthy meals, bathing, dressing, hair care, toileting and toothbrushing.

Maths Icon

Community

We build a sense of community by fostering friendships, providing support to families, and through family involvement. The kids engage with the community through local schools, aged-care centres and other activities.

Music Icon

Growth

Our centre helps children grow their kindness, empathy and emotional awareness and regulation. They gain real-life, hands-on experience, physical development such as balance and motor skills.

Sustainability

Young people play an important role in caring for the environment. Our vegetable garden teaches children about food cycles and choices, and marked bins help them learn about sustainable waste management.

Ms Liesl

Meet Our Educators

Ms. Liesl – Centre Director

I am Liesl, the current director at Ancora Kids Browns Plains. I have been working in the centre for 5 years. My qualifications include: Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care

As director at Ancora Kids, I am passionate about creating holistic, nurturing environments where children feel empowered to explore, grow, and thrive. At the heart of our philosophy are the values of Empathy, Compassion, and GRIT—Growth, Resilience, Integrity, and Tenacity. I believe that when children are supported with love, respect, and opportunity, they demonstrate remarkable resilience, curiosity, and potential.
My teaching approach is inspired by a blend of Montessori and Steiner philosophies. I value providing hands-on, real-life learning experiences that build independence and practical skills, while also fostering creativity through play-based and imaginative exploration. I also embrace the importance of early exposure to STEAM learning and second language development as vital tools for the future.
I see families as a child’s first and most important teachers. Building strong, respectful partnerships with parents helps create a safe and connected learning environment, where every child feels a strong sense of belonging. My goal is to nurture children’s emotional, social, and cognitive development, supporting them in becoming confident, compassionate individuals ready for the next stage of their journey.
At Ancora Kids, I am proud to lead a team that values reflective practice, continuous learning, and a shared commitment to preparing children today, for a better tomorrow.

FAQs

Choosing a daycare is an important decision. Below are answers to some common questions parents ask:

Fees, Child Care Subsidy and attendance

Around ten minutes, roughly 6km, with parking on site.

Arrival and free play from 6am, breakfast, group time, outdoor play, lunch, a rest or quiet period, afternoon tea, then experiences that wind the day down before pick-up. The frame stays the same each day; what happens inside it follows the children’s interests and the week’s program.

Yes. Sessions are arranged around your Child Care Subsidy hours, and part-time patterns are common. Availability varies by room and day, so it is worth asking early about the combination you want.

Not in terms of what we teach. Our school-readiness program targets what every Prep teacher looks for: sitting in a group, following a multi-step instruction, managing a lunchbox, recognising their name, early number sense. Children go on to Calamvale Community College, Algester State School and Stretton State College, and the program prepares them for any of them.

From 6am. We close at 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Typically $15 to $50 per day. Where you land in that range depends on your CCS percentage and approved fortnightly hours from Centrelink. Bring your assessment to a tour and we will work out your actual gap fee.

Meals are prepared on site, which makes substitution straightforward. We work from a documented medical management plan for each child with an allergy, and educators in the room are trained on it before the first day.

Yes, we provide on-site parking so drop-off and pick-up is quick and easy.

Yes, and we prioritise sibling placements where we can, though children sit in separate age-appropriate rooms. Tell us both ages when you enquire and we will check what is possible for your days.
