One Fee, and We Mean One Fee

Plenty of centres advertise a daily rate and then add to it: meals, incursions, program materials, sunscreen, the kindy year. Ours covers all of it. Four meals a day come out of our kitchen, the school-readiness program is part of the day rather than a premium option, and the annual dental and optometry visits happen on site at no extra cost. What you are quoted is what you pay.

Slacks Creek families are welcome from 15 months through to the kindy year.

A Clear Run West, and Parking at the Door

The centre sits at 5 Trebeck Street in Browns Plains, west of Slacks Creek. Rooms are grouped by age, each opening onto shaded outdoor areas, and children move between them through the day. We open at 6am and close at 6pm, with parking on site.

Social Focus

Health & wellbeing

We use play, song and stories to develop essential skills and teach children about health, hygiene and self-care. This includes choosing and making healthy meals, bathing, dressing, hair care, toileting and toothbrushing.

Community

We build a sense of community by fostering friendships, providing support to families, and through family involvement. The kids engage with the community through local schools, aged-care centres and other activities.

Growth

Our centre helps children grow their kindness, empathy and emotional awareness and regulation. They gain real-life, hands-on experience, physical development such as balance and motor skills.

Sustainability

Young people play an important role in caring for the environment. Our vegetable garden teaches children about food cycles and choices, and marked bins help them learn about sustainable waste management.

Ms. Liesl – Centre Director

I am Liesl, the current director at Ancora Kids Browns Plains. I have been working in the centre for 5 years. My qualifications include: Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care

As director at Ancora Kids, I am passionate about creating holistic, nurturing environments where children feel empowered to explore, grow, and thrive. At the heart of our philosophy are the values of Empathy, Compassion, and GRIT—Growth, Resilience, Integrity, and Tenacity. I believe that when children are supported with love, respect, and opportunity, they demonstrate remarkable resilience, curiosity, and potential.
My teaching approach is inspired by a blend of Montessori and Steiner philosophies. I value providing hands-on, real-life learning experiences that build independence and practical skills, while also fostering creativity through play-based and imaginative exploration. I also embrace the importance of early exposure to STEAM learning and second language development as vital tools for the future.
I see families as a child’s first and most important teachers. Building strong, respectful partnerships with parents helps create a safe and connected learning environment, where every child feels a strong sense of belonging. My goal is to nurture children’s emotional, social, and cognitive development, supporting them in becoming confident, compassionate individuals ready for the next stage of their journey.

Choosing a daycare near Slacks Creek is an important decision. Below are answers to some common questions parents ask:

Fees, Child Care Subsidy and attendance

How far is the centre from Slacks Creek?

Around fourteen minutes west to Browns Plains, with parking on site.

What is genuinely included in the daily fee?

All meals and snacks, the school-readiness program, the additional language sessions, and the annual on-site dental and optometry visits. Ask us on a tour if there is anything else you want confirmed for your child’s room.

Will the subsidy cover most of it?

For many families the Child Care Subsidy covers a large share, leaving a gap fee typically between $15 and $50 per day. The percentage and approved hours come from your Centrelink assessment. Bring it to a tour and we will work out your real weekly number rather than quoting a range.

How are fees paid?

By direct debit weekly or fortnightly, two weeks in advance.

Which schools do children go on to?

Mabel Park State School is the local primary, with Mabel Park State High School for secondary. Our kindy program prepares children for Prep entry generally.

What are the hours?

6am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, with breakfast served for early arrivals.

My child has never been away from me. How do you handle that?

With orientation visits before the first full day and a settling plan that goes at your child’s pace rather than a timetable. You will get updates through the day, not just at pick-up.

Is there parking available at the centre?

Yes, we provide on-site parking so drop-off and pick-up is quick and easy.

Do you have places right now?

It depends on the room and the days. Ask with your preferred pattern and we will give you a straight answer, including how long a wait would realistically be.
